The title of Most Valuable Player could easily have gone to one of several players, it was awarded to Kylan Barrett-Ratcliffe, for his 9 points, 16 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals. He also did a tremendous job defensively, something which clearly caught the eye of the judges and Head Coach Matt Shaw:
“I was delighted to see Kylan (pictured right) win the MVP. Sometimes I don't think he realises how good he is, His defence was excellent today especially. "

Academy wins Under 17s National Championship 2014
The Academy U17’s team travelled to Nottingham where they beat Ivybridge Community College from Devon 72-41 in the semi-final, before going on to beat Greig City Academy from Greater London 87-62.
Academy Director and Head Coach of the Noel-Baker Matt Shaw was delighted with the result:
“We were excellent today and I'm so proud of all my players. Everyone was tuned in right from the opening tip of the semi final and our first half performance in which we took a 47-9 lead into the break really set us up really nicely for the day."
In the final Noel-Baker dominated the third quarter with seven players finding the scoresheet as the teams depth came into play.
